Emperus Distillery
Emperus Distillery is the realization of a long-standing family tradition of brandy production. The story of spirit production takes date since 1935, when the first plum spirit at family Senic has been made. Today, this distillery is well known as the producer of the best Serbian šljivovica (plum brandy) and the best Serbian quince spirit.
Emperus Distillery owns 60ha of orchards of domestic and autochthonous fruit varieties, primarily plums and quinces. Hand-picked fruit goes through a special processing process according to the highest standards, where care is taken to preserve all the quality properties of the fruit to the maximum.
Emperus is the first distillery in Serbia that went through the entire process of certification of its product’s geographical indication and the fact is that Emperus Šumadijska šljivovica is the first rakija with a certified geographical indication in Serbia.
Their mission is promoting Serbian šljivovica all over the world and placing it where it belongs – alongside the world’s most famous spirits and brandies.

Standards and certifications: Emperus Reserva Antica – Radiocarbon Dating Certificate, issued by SUERC (Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre), headquartered in Glasgow; EMPERUS Šumadijska šljivovica – The first rakija with a certified geographical indication in Serbia, certificate No. 0001.
