In 2023, Despotika Winery celebrated its thirteenth harvest in a row. Thirteen years of dedicated work in the vineyard and in the winery in order to achieve the quality we strive for. We are located in Šumadija, close to Smederevska Palanka, on a south-west oriented slope called Straževica, from where the view extends to Avala, Kosmaj, Bukulja and Rudnik.

We belong to the Krnjevac vineyard area and own 20 ha of vineyards, in three different locations, which allows us to use the best of each terroir, in accordance with the various domestic and foreign vine varieties that we have carefully selected.

Our Morava achieves exceptional results in the vineyard, and therefore in the bottle, as well. The variety, which is increasingly represented in Serbian vineyards, shows its full potential at the Straževica location. Intense notes of citrus, green apple, white peach, with a background of herbal notes of sage, rosemary and field flowers. Morava has a distinct freshness and a harmonious body obtained by nurturing the “sur lie” method, and the mineral aromas of flint and smoke develop as it matures in the bottle.

Only an hour’s drive from Belgrade, the Despotika Winery is an attractive tourist and hedonistic destination. Starting this year, we also offer the option of accommodation in one of the fully equipped rooms, oriented towards the southwestern slopes of the vineyard, so you won’t miss a single romantic sunset. Of course, we also thought of the youngest, so we turned the spacious green area between the merlot and prokupac vineyards into a picnic area with an entertainment area, where you will be able to enjoy sunny days and an incredible view of the vineyards and Šumadija.
